this was so spur of the moment it was exciting to be swept along and get it on film! Max got up from the table at dinner and ran across the street to get a newspaper. Stacy said “Alex follow Max!”. It was a brisk walk charged with silence and brief moments of impending excitement. We got to the Last Bookstore in Los Angeles where it was open mic night. There was a strict five minute limit and with about 2 minutes preparation Max spit these amazing beat-poetics grinding off the theme “austerity”.
Here’s a complete look at page 6 of Vol.7. Still some tweaks here and there (especially with the colors). Gotta put together a system where the colors come out more consistent! Anyway, it’s on to the next one!
